Lucy Castings Witney,UK helped mark the Armistice for the Centenary of World War 1 by casting special posts for use in a local memorial. Local authority (Witney Town Council) chose the posts for use in  the new Leys Centenary Memorial Garden. On the Roll of Honour  there, that commemorates the fallen, are some names of those who were employed by Lucy before leaving to fight and who sadly never returned. It is particularly poignant that current Lucy Castings’ staff helped to create a memorial to their predecessors, using similar practical skills to those used 100 years ago.
